Milestones on the Christian Journey
BAPTISM is the way we become members of the church, the body of Christ. Although many are baptized as infants, baptism is appropriate at any age. Baptism takes place at a main Sunday morning service, with Easter, Pentecost, All Saints, and Baptism of the Lord being especially suitable days. Baptismal candidates make promises to renounce evil and turn to Jesus as Lord. In infant baptism, these promises are made by parents and godparents on behalf of the child. The congregation promises to support the newly baptized in their life of faith. For baptismal preparation, please contact the rector.
